Abstract: Today pluralism has almost become the natural structure of all societies. Because of the social transformations that the globalisation brings, plural identities and the increasing role of global institutions related to these transformations and gradually increasing diversed identities have become realities of our present world. Meanwhile, debates about multiculturalism have begun to appear in this sense. Multiculturalism and cultural diversity have become phenomena discussed all over the world with the help of postmodernity. Multiculturalism has entered in the agenda of the whole world just after the countries such as Canada and Australia accepted multiculturalism and ethnic diversity as a state policy instead of assimilating the immigrants. But as seen in all debates, we   encounter with explanation concerning different perspectives of multiculturalism. In this respect, we will deal with different applications of multiculturalism by concerning pioneers of this concept and point out the facilities and problems of this policy.
